The conniving and malevolent Mea is a rare species of Microcosmus. She is widely known as an awe-inspiring, knife-wielding, alligator-taming photographer and graphic artist in the market for world domination. Mea has a volatile nature and fondness for Egyptian mongooses and decorative high heels. Her habitat ranges from pillow forts to roller coasters, and she feeds on fear and the flesh of small children. She is monogamous with a British illustrator with many names. Sociability is questionable. Her spirit animals are Ariel, Edward Elric, and a zebra. Conservation status: Kill on sight.

“Mea is timeless antiquity balanced on killer high heels. She is class with a whip and elegance with a bowie knife. She is the collector and appreciator of all things beautiful. But more than that, Mea is ferocity and strength. And even more, she is the voice at the end of the day saying, ‘Remember you are beautiful and remember you are loved,’ even if it is more likely to come out like, ‘Hey, loser~ <3’”

“Firestorms can die down to embers but they always flare up again. Namely in order to kick ass and take names… When waters are raging she still burns”

“Mea… is the personification of strength, passion, endurance, beauty.”

“Mea… has such an astounding ability to get right back up when things knock her down. She’s more understanding than I can ask for. There are dark days - there always are, and they can’t be helped - but they can be overshadowed with the days we stay up all night on webcam, the days where we find new memes for the headmates to do. The days when the real signs of progress gleam through. They make the bad days bearable, I think. When it gets tough, she always gets up again. And it’s one of the strengths that I love and admire in her. There is a foward motion we’ve found, and that she’s taken advantage of, and while there are still pitfalls, she can always keep going, keep carrying on. It’s beautiful, really.”

“Mea is just this mega-awesome chick doing mega-awesome things whether she’s down in Alabama, or over in LA, or overseas with Kit (who she can be having, hellooooo are you all jealous of her yet or not?). Wherever she is, she is just perpetually Not Taking Your Shit, and it is just the best thing because I love people like that. She’s funny, helpful, smart and generally an all around stand up mongoose. meangoose. mongoose. Also, I’ve noticed she takes one helluva picture, both behind and in front of the camera (ahaha that sounded vaguely innuendoish in my head). Yeah, though. Mea. Not Taking My Shit since whenever the hell…”

“I admire Mealike you wouldn’t believe. She’s dealt with more than some people have to deal with their entire lives. And still, even when everything seems hopeless, she manages to pick herself up, keep her chin up and keep on walking. It takes an extraordinary kind of person to live the life Mea lives. She is one of the bravest people I’ve ever known. She’s truly nothing short of amazing and inspiring.”
~Gysti
“Mea is beautiful and strong, and brave. Oh, so very brave. Her strength is inspiring, and bright. She doesn’t deserve all the s*** people seem to keep throwing at her. The world keeps knocking her down, and it’s not fair. She doesn’t deserve any of it, and I just want her to know that she’s my hero. She’s my Superman. <3”
~Kade
“And Meabecause the amount of love she manages to inspire in the people who matter is extraordinary and grand. She gathers good people to her in flocks, and it’s not hard to see why when you see what a strong, determined, gutsy girl she is.”

“Mea is, decidedly, my older sister. She’s the strongest and most inspirational person that I have ever known, and she’s basically my idol. I love Mea. Unfortunately, I am horrible with words and cannot truly express how much I love this chick. I cannot begin to tell you how much I look up to her, how strong she is, how brave she is, or even how badass she is. There are no words to express that. Mea is truly amazing, and anyone who can’t realise that can suck my dick. Ilu Mea. <3”

“Mea is a badass, but also a very caring, loving individual. She is strong not because she ignores all obstacles and keeps going, but because those obstacles sometimes wear her down and make her want to cry, but she keeps walking on. Mea’s ability to love so completely, despite everything that goes on around her at times, is always worth admiring.”
~Vay
“Mea- Vivacious and strong willed, Mea is not someone you can ignore easily. I was really terrified of meeting her in real life in case she hated me. XD But Mea is a fair bitch, she only dislikes those who have wronged her, and if you’re her friend she’ll make sure you know it. More then that though Mea is lovable, my friends instantly fell in love with her and it’s not hard to see why. I miss hugging her. I miss coming round to the flat and getting an instant hug from her sleepy self. Mea is the Harry to my Ron. She is my inspiration.”

“My gosh, getting a mention from Mea is like getting a ‘Well done, young sailor,’ from a sea titan. In a good way. Because Mea is awesome and fierce like a kraken, and I’m honestly a little too bird-flighty to have risked going near her. -.- Except to pick up the scraps from her posts/meals, by quoting them and/or reading and wanting to say, ‘You go, girl.’”

“Back when I met her, a silly little 14-year-old on a forum of a series that changed my life, I had no clue whatsoever that Hiwatari-san was the woman I would fall in love with. I always thought she was beautiful. I still have the old pictures of her with short hair and her various swords. She’s always been gorgeous. She’s always been a spitfire. She’s always been a stable and comforting presence in my life where I can retreat when things got bad. She was my home. She IS my home. And she’s willing to sacrifice so much for me. For us. The very thought does baffle me a little. All this finally happened, just stemmed from one happenstance meeting. Isn’t it weird how the smallest thing can change the course of the future? Look at us now. We can cross oceans. Our love goes around the world and back again. It’s hard right now, being in a new home with nobody I really know…it’s really hard…but just the thought of being with her again is enough to push me onwards. And we’ll look after each other, and it’ll be perfect, like we’ve been fighting for it to be. Like we damn deserve. God. Even through everything, even when I’ve been a tosser, even when…everything. She’s always been there. And she always will be. She’s my girl, dammit. <3”

“Mea is fire and velvet and intricate.”

“Mea I admittedly don’t know very well, or much at all - but I’ve mentioned it before, and her attention to the SST is amazing. I really respect her initative, her compassion, and I’m so happy she gets to be with Kizzy, and be happy, and all these things because she totally deserves it, yo. For one, she helped convince me to do a lot of things: not die, get help. She did it indirectly, but just seeing her around gave me a little bit of hope. She radiates this amazing strength, and I just can’t even begin to describe it.”
~Michael
“I was utterly terrified of Mea, had no idea what to make of her, and ultimately turned my prideful little feline self away to glare in silence. I don’t know if anyone has noticed but I LOVE MEA WITH A BURNING PLATONIC PASSION, and I’ll be the first to admit that my first impression was just me not giving the time to really get a feel for how badass and great she is.”

“Mea is the living definition of a hero. <3”

“Mea is desert, fire, and no less an inspiration any day of the week. For anything that may be ravaged, beauty will grow up from it; both you and the situations you’ve encountered are a very good representation of this. The fertilizer of life may hurt, seeming to make things inhospitiable- but it is from the greatest wildfires that the most beautiful wildlife comes to blossom. Thank you for birthday well-wishes and the indomitable strength you’ve given this forum, and don’t hesitate to hold out your hand- I’d be only honored to reach back.”

“When you ask yourself, what is Mea? The first thing’s that spring to mind are strength, bravery, fire, and loyalty. She is strong, but in a certain way. Not strong like a house, but strong like a bridge. She stands up for all of us, and doesn’t just say “I’m here!” but also says “I’m here, and I’m going to help you get across this tide, because you can!”. When things seem impossible to conquer, she’s always around to show people that actually, it is achievable, you just need to have faith. She has so much fire, in a way only a mongoose can. It’s like it can’t contain itself- it needs to get out. She burns with passion, she lights up everyone’s darkest days, she fuels people’s hopes and dreams. And she’s not ashamed if that fire burns someone if they piss her off. She accepts herself as she is, and that takes real strength of character. She knows she has flaws, but I think she also knows everyone has flaws- so she’s not going to worry about it. And it only makes her all the more beautiful and courageous. Mongooses have always reminded me of heroes in books. But I think I have to reassess what kind of hero they really are. They are certainly not the brain full of straw, muscles galore, gleaming with goodness sort of hero. But no one really likes those heroes anyway. They are the heroes everyone likes. They have setbacks, but they pull through with what they’re doing anyway. They are cunning and wily, and sharp at times when people need to hear it. But they are always good to people who deserve it. Maybe you don’t see them in the spotlight, because the ones that think the spotlight matters are always hogging it, but really the ones that matter most are the ones who don’t care at all. They don’t intend to be heroes, they just are. It’s as natural to them as breathing air- and that’s what makes them so amazing. And that’s what makes Mea so amazing.”
~Vay
“Mea, because I have discovered a deeper side to you through your photography. I already knew you were beautiful outside, but your art is an excellent reminder of just what a beautiful person you’re on the inside too, even the negative bits. As far as I’m concerned, you’re a diamond like no other. <3”

“Mea - A potted cactus. S’true, really. Even from the more amusing perspective of tourists going mad over taking one home, buying one. People are prone to either over-watering or under-watering them, either smothering it in attention or figuring it doesn’t need nurturing to get by; the cactus is a very strong plant, but it is also unquestionably delicate in its ways. Surely to some you are sharp, even as you are lovely, or endearing. You capture something most people don’t see regularly, though the place where you belong most is in the outdoors, to grow into all that you could and will be. You have an innate potential, Mea, and you are kinder than you give yourself credit for.”
~Caiti
“First off - it is difficult to find a picture that to me fully captures Mea. I chose a form of electricity, because when electricity is on your side it is irreplaceable - it is extremely useful. It keeps you safe, warm, entertained. Electricity is strong and dependable when you’ve got it working alongside you. However, it can also be fierce and raw - frightening in its unrelenting strength and ferocity. It can be unexpected and forceful; a strength that is admirable and awe inspiring to see in something that we tend to underestimate.”

“Mea [codename: Dark Mongoose] is a highly-trained part-time bounty hunter / assassin from the nefarious super!secret organization known as SOB (Special Operations Bandits). She is notorious for killing people if paid enough money to do so, throwing babies off bridges for free, breaking the rules, stabbing random fuckers that come up behind her, engaging in strange acts of helping and loving others, and in her spare time, she is a most creative and talented photographer, and a good friend. :3”
